The Boulder Innovation Venture Report is a product of an initiative launched by the Boulder Economic Council (BEC) of the Boulder Chamber. Working with the University of Colorado Boulder, the BEC developed a groundbreaking comparative analysis of the productivity of Boulder’s innovation and entrepreneurial ecosystem relative to other innovation ecosystems in the U.S. The report presents 45 metrics organized into chapters on People, Economy, Research & Development, Investment Capital, and Place. Each metric quantifies Boulder’s performance compared to eight other regions across the country: Austin, Boston, Denver, Portland, Raleigh-Durham, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.
