Manufacturers are finding value in regular conversations

On August 17, the Boulder Area Manufacturing Sector Partnership convened the group’s supply chain action-team at Veolia Water Technologies, located at 6060 Spine Rd, in Boulder. The partnership meets on a monthly basis and tackles topics related to workforce development, public policy, and overall operations.

Veolia Water Technologies designs and delivers standardized water treatment equipment for industrial or municipal customers. They also offer a range of services (audit, maintenance, digital, etc.) to cover all water treatment plant management needs.

During this event, supply chain specialists participated in panel discussions targeting supplier management and quality assurance, while Rob Newbold, VP of Client Services at Manufacturer’s Edge, capped off presentations with an in-depth presentation outlining Industry 4.0 — new technologies being used in manufacturing. After hearing from professionals from Manufacturer’s Edge, Veolia Water Technologies, and the Association of Supply Chain Management, manufacturers and public partners broke out into groups to identify ways to partner and respond to challenges affecting the supply chain.

Future meetings and initiatives are shared on the partnerships webpage and LinkedIn Group.
