With the passing of the October first election season is in full swing. Although Colorado is not the focal point for either Presidential hopeful’s campaign, understanding how voter demographics are changing across the state can shed light on how changing demographics affects political power across the state and in Boulder County.
The Colorado Secretary of State provides a monthly voter registration data report up to August 2024. The data is broken out by county, gender, and age range buckets. Using the August 2020 and August 2024 data, this report focuses on broad demographic changes in the age and gender of Colorado voters. While provided, the statistics on party affiliation are not going to be used, this is a report on overall trends only.
